Ginger is rhizome of the plant known as Zingiber Officinale in the botanical world. This root has a very old history of being consumed as a delicacy, medicine or as a spice.

Ginger contains essential oils and other nutrients such as protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin C, folic acid, inositol, manganese, panthotenic acid, silicon and a small amount of vitamin B3.

In beauty products, Ginger essential oil is generally used which is extracted by stem distillation from the rhizome root. This oil has invigorating, energizing, stimulating, anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties.
